Δύο μετά τα μεσάνυχτα. Ο δήμαρχος έδωσε το σύνθημα και το παιχνίδι ξεκίνησε. Εκατό Άι Βασίληδες ξεχύθηκαν στην πόλη για να μοιράσουν δώρα. Οι διευθύνσεις υπήρχαν στο χαρτάκι που κράταγαν στα χέρια τους. Αυτός που θα τελείωνε πρώτος και θα πατούσε το μεγάλο πορτοκαλί κουμπί στην πλατεία, θα ανακηρυσσόταν Άι Βασίλης της χρονιάς!
Ο Άρης δεν έδειχνε να ανησυχεί. Ήταν σίγουρος πως θα τα κατάφερνε. Όμως, δεν είχε υπολογίσει τον παράξενο επισκέπτη με τα κόκκινα ρούχα και τη μακριά γενειάδα στη σκεπή του τελευταίου σπιτιού…
