Ο Τρύφωνας είναι ένας δράκος. Και έχει όλα τα εξωτερικά χαρακτηριστικά ενός κανονικού δράκου. Είναι πολύ ψηλός, έχει φολίδες σκληρές σαν ατσάλι, έχει φτερά και πετάει. Αλλά σε αντίθεση µε τους άλλους δράκους της ?ρακολανδίας, ο Τρύφωνας είναι ένας καθωσπρέπει δράκος. ?εν τριγυρίζει αποδώ κι αποκεί για να καίει καστροπολιτείες και να µασαµπουκώνει ανθρώπους, ζει ήρεµα και µοναχικά στη σπηλιά του, ασχολείται µε τον κήπο του και διαβάζει βιβλία, πολλά βιβλία. Όµως θα έρθει αντιµέτωπος µε ένα πρόβληµα δρακολογικής φύσης και θα ζητήσει τη βοήθεια ενός µάγου… Τότε κάποιοι θα τον δουν και θα τροµάξουν. Κι άντε ο Τρύφωνας να τους πείσει ότι δεν έχει καµία πρόθεση να τους µασαµπουκώσει.
